The Tour de Timor is a challenging 345 miles 6 stage hybrid mountain bike race with a road bike format to be held in September 2012.

A unique adventure with spectacular scenery and great prize money on offer.

This unique experience will also give you an opportunity to fund raise to support the work of Motivation Australia and ASSERT in providing wheelchairs and training to children and adults in need.

Funds raised from last year's Tour de Timor have helped Motivation Australia to build the skills and capacity of our local partner ASSERT to assist local wheelchair users.

Funds raised through the 2012 Tour de Timor will help us purchase appropriate wheelchairs; and continue to build the capacity of ASSERT staff to work with wheelchair users to provide them with a wheelchair that suits their needs, and training in how to use and maintain their wheelchair. A properly fitted wheelchair that is suited to their environment can open up great opportunities for wheelchair users to contribute and participate in their communities.
