Motivation Australia recognises that it isn't possible to meet everyone's needs with just one wheelchair. Disabled people have vastly differing needs, so the equipment has to take into account such factors as the nature of the disability, the size and age of the person and the environment in which they live and work.
We train local people to produce or source and provide mobility products that will meet the needs of children and adults with a mobility disablility in their community. Where appropriate, we help set-up and strengthen local production workshops to produce and provide equipment for their communities. We also help to link our partners with appropriate products including the Worldmade range of products produced by Motivation. Our training focuses on providing local people with the capacity to critically evaluate product options; assemble, adjust, modify and repair wheelchairs; and feedback to producers of equipment the needs of the people in their community.

The popular basketball and tennis sports wheelchairs designed by Motivation are creating a storm in the world of wheelchair sports. These wheelchairs offer a low cost yet quality sports wheelchair for people with a disability in developing countries for the first time. The wheelchairs have enabled Motivation Australia to successfully initiate wheelchair basketball in East Timor, and introduce the sport to wheelchair users in the Solomon Islands through our recent Peer Group Training course.
Motivation Australia is the supplier of these wheelchairs in Australia and New Zealand, with funds generated through the sale in these developed countries supporting our work in developing countries. Most importantly, these generic sports wheelchairs have helped grass roots sports clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand to rapidly increase the number of participants in wheelchair sports.

A pressure relieving cushion is a vital part of a wheelchair. Every Worldmade wheelchair comes with a cushion. There are two types of Worldmade cushion: one designed for hard, flat seat bases and one for fabric seats. - Rough Terrain Wheelchair

The Worldmade Rough Terrain Wheelchair (WM3) is an active, three wheel design allowing for independent propulsion over difficult or uneven terrain.
The Long wheelbase, large front castor, cambered wheels and solid construction create a stable base for wheelchair users to propel in rural or semi-rural environments.
The WM3 comes with the Worldmade pressure Relief Cushion as standard.

- Active Folding Wheelchair

The Worldmade Active Folding Wheelchair (WM4) is an active, four wheel design allowing for independent propulsion over uneven terrain.
The double folding cross brace, tension adjustable seat and backrest and solid castor wheels create a stable base from which to propel. The cross folding frame assists with storage and transport.
The WM4 comes with the Worldmade Pressure Relief Cushion as standard.
