This project is being implemented by the Callan Vanimo Inclusive Education Resource Centre (IERC) with the support of Callan Services for Persons with Disabilities National Unit (CSNU) and Mary MacKillop Today.
Together, project partners aim to raise awareness of the rights of people with disability, while increasing access to inclusive health and education services in remote village communities in Papua New Guinea.
Ensuring access to inclusive education is part of the Sustainable Development Goals, our shared global blueprint towards a more fair and just world by 2030. SDG goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Motivation Australia’s will contribute to this project by: carrying out an evaluation of project activities completed in Vanimo; work with inclusive education volunteers and community members to understand more about how they perceive quality inclusive education, and; support a community-driven design process to scale-up this important work, and positively impact on more children with a disability, their families and communities.
