Supporting VSDP after Cyclone Pam

When Cyclone Pam hit Vanuatu this month, our partners in Vanuatu, the Vanuatu Society for Disabled Persons (VSDP) were amongst those who lost so much. Fortunately all of the staff and volunteers of VSDP; and their families were un-harmed. However VSDPs building, which had been recently renovated with the support of the Friends of VSDP was destroyed along with all of VSDPs equipment.

Motivation Australia is working with VSDP to assist them as they begin to make plans for re-establishing their services including an early intervention programme for children, a Community Based Rehabilitation programme, and a project providing Walking Aids in partnership with Motivation Australia, the Frangipani Society and physiotherapists from Vila Central Hospital.
